SUMMARY
Join a collaborative multi-disciplinary team using VA data to support a learning health care system. Responsible for coordinating day to day activities of health services research protocols. Arranges, conducts and analyzes interviews with project stakeholders. Conducts qualitative analysis. Contributes to the writing of grants and academic manuscripts. Supports data cleaning activities as needed. Current study topics include Medicaid, chronic kidney disease, inpatient nurse staffing/workload/turnover, patient outcomes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
- Facilitate team meetings, prepare meeting agendas, write meeting summaries
- Conduct literature reviews for grants and academic manuscripts
- Help write grants and academic manuscripts in collaboration with Principal Investigator and other team members
- Prepare, submit, organize, and maintain regulatory documentation
- Gather information about data sources available for VA research
- Retrieve regularly updated data from VA websites
- Perform targeted data cleaning, such as manually matching data with inconclusive matches from automated processes
- Support team communication with organizational partners, includes preparing emails, drafting slides, and notetaking during meetings and/or presentations
- Recruit study subjects (for the current project, these include VA staff at multiple levels of the organization, from clinicians to national leaders)
- Collect and document study data in computerized databases
- Maintain records of study subjects
- Schedule subjects for interviews
- Correspond with study subjects and relevant stakeholders
- Conduct interviews of study subjects in-person and by phone
- Conduct qualitative analysis of study interviews
- Create resources for clinicians based on study findings
- Develop abstracts for research conferences, prepare presentation materials, and
present research findings virtually or in person
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Required: Master’s degree in Public Health or related field or four (4) years of directly related work experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
- Required: One year of relevant experience in addition to education requirement. Demonstrated strong academic writing skills.

Must be a US citizen
