What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Depin Inc?
Responsible for the day-to-day delivering of finished product to customers. The purpose of the Delivery Driver is to deliver products in cases according to order specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods.
- Ensure that the delivery schedule is followed; chart out appropriate route for delivery on the map or GPS.
- Take delivery instructions from supervisors.
- Ensure that appropriate and complete documentation is available at the time of loading.
- Ensure that items are properly stacked and secured inside the delivery vehicle.
- Maintain proper knowledge of loaded items.
- Adhere to the speed limits and all other traffic laws.
- Assist in unloading items off the vehicle in a safe manner.
- Ensure that delivery receipts are signed.
- Handle invoice discrepancies by informing superiors of problems and complaints.
- Ensure that the vehicle’s paperwork is in order.
- Clean vehicle; inside and the outside.
- Perform diagnosis and troubleshooting tasks on the vehicle when needed; reporting general and preventative maintenance needed for the vehicle.
- Operates forklift, pallet jack and other types of equipment.

Requirements:
- Candidates will need have a clean driving record with at least three years of personal driving experience, be able to pass a DOT physical, pre-employment drug test and be over 21 years of age.
- Knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repair.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds and occasionally 75 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee shall be free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance while on duty. In addition, the employee shall be free of any substance, prescribed or otherwise, that impairs the employee’s work performance or the safety of others while on duty.
