Pay Rate: $21.00-$23.00 Per Hour

Shift: Night Shift/6:00PM to 2:30AM

**Summary/Objective:**

TEC WEST is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician I (QC Tech I) to join our team. As an entry-level position, the QC Tech I will be responsible for inspecting finished products and conducting quality control tests in one of our three QC Labs. This role is essential in ensuring overall product quality by thoroughly validating specific product requirements while strictly adhering to company policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

**Essential Functions:**

• Understand and operate laboratory or analytical equipment effectively.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using MS Office software (Excel, Access, etc.) for data management and reporting.
• Operate cutting machines and high-temperature equipment, with a willingness to be trained in lay-up, curing, cutting, and mechanical testing processes.
• Observe all company Health and Safety policies, employing safe working practices.
• Maintain housekeeping standards daily to meet company cleanliness and organization expectations.
• Comply with all requirements established by the Quality System.
• Carry out physical testing requirements according to predefined specifications and standards, maintaining clear and concise records of all testing. Ensure associated equipment meets the necessary specifications and business needs.
• Collaborate with supervision to uphold a defined schedule for mechanical and analytical testing, ensuring resource requirements are communicated to all affected departments.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with all lab employees, support business needs as communicated by supervision, and ensure adherence to established 'Lab Rules' at all times.

**Required Education and Experience:**

• High school diploma, General Education Degree, or equivalent.
• No prior direct experience required.
  
  

**Preferred Experience:**

• 1-3 years in a laboratory or quality function is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing and/or composites is a plus.
