The Depot Outlet Board of Directors is seeking an individual to serve as the Store Director of the Depot Outlet. This is a full time, salaried-exempt, benefits-eligible position.
The Depot Outlet is a thrift store, donation center and philanthropic organization located in Decorah, Iowa. It is owned by 34 member churches in Winneshiek County and governed by a Board of Directors.
The mission of the Depot Outlet is to encourage and assist generous area residents in recycling their discarded clothing, small household good, furniture, and books and offer those items for sale at a low price. The goal is to provide area residents with opportunities to volunteer, train, and work in the organization’s recycling efforts. With the funds generated, the Depot Outlet provides grants to non-profit and church organizations throughout Winneshiek County.
The Store Director will oversee all operations of the Depot Outlet including, but not limited to: Store Operations, Donation Operations, Recycling Program, Volunteer Program, Grant Coordination and serve as Liaison to the Board of Directors. The successful candidate must be a mission-driven individual who has strong leadership, communication and customer service skills, at least two years’ experience in the retail industry, and at least one year experience in a management role. An associate level degree in a relevant field is preferred, but not required. A valid driver’s license is required.
Compensation is based on experience.
