Job Duties

UP TO $1,500 SIGN-ON BONUS The duties of this position are to perform a variety of routine and repetitive tasks in housekeeping and laundry. Duties include, but are not limited to: transporting and distributing linen; loading and unloading linen; transporting linen to multiple linen rooms on campus ensuring that only requisitioned linen is received; assisting shipping department with linen orders; stocking inventory; completing daily weighs of inventory for shipment; collecting and unloading soiled linen; cleaning and sanitizing delivery carts with high pressure steamer; and performing other laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned. Duties must be carried out in such a manner as to have the least amount of disruption to employees, patients/individual activities and programming.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have knowledge and experience in laundry processes; ability to operate laundry machinery; a valid driver’s license; general knowledge of and experience with cleaning methods and the use of cleaning supplies; knowledge of and experience with safety practices related to laundry work; ability to follow written and oral instruction to perform required tasks; and the ability to lift and stand for extended periods of time and perform manual repetitive labor.

An extensive criminal history background investigation and reference checks will be conducted.
