This role is part of our Personalised Creative team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients including eBay, Ancestry, Walmart, and more!
JOB PURPOSE:
As a Junior Designer, you will be creating engaging designs that start conversations between people and brands. You’ll work within a team of creatives and copywriters to deliver impactful designs that fulfil client briefs and communicate DEPT®’s standard of Design.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand project requirements and concepts; working on a brief from start to finish
- Produce final design solutions
- Creating marketing display banners from scratch
- Animate engaging and disruptive videos for social
- Work closely with the production team to deliver multiple campaigns at the same time
- Use feedback from your peers as well as leaders to improve standard of work
- Pitch creative ideas where relevant that enhance projects
- Liaise with the client and explain design thinking
- Research latest design trends to put into practice
- Apply industry trends and innovations to day to day work
SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
- You will have a genuine love for the medium, and in particular digital marketing
- Good eye for visual design and understanding of visual elements; layout, type and fonts
- Experience with design software including Adobe Suite (Predominantly Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
- Familiarity with design techniques (e.g. prototyping)
- Ability to design in small web placements
- Good typesetting & retouching skills
- Great communication skills
- Excellent team player and problem solving aptitude
- Self-driven with an inquisitive nature
