What are the responsibilities and job description for the QC Technician position at Dermaceutical Laboratories LLC?
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
· Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate CF&T, FDA, and HC guidelines/requirements.
· Controls and tracks raw material standards, creates and updates standards as needed for first time receipt or replacement
· Performs bulk aesthetic, physical inspections, and any other special tests specified by DL and/or Customer.
· Must be capable of coordinating/ pulling samples for testing as required by the product specification for outside Analytical and Micro Laboratory testing.
· Verifies that all Certificates of Analysis (COA’s) are received according to customer requirements and meet specifications. Requests missing or incomplete COA’s and follows up to ensure they are provided in a timely fashion.
· Perform calibrations of instrumentation as needed.
· Conducting accurately various complex and simple analytical tests on various samples (FT-IR, pH, Viscometer, Specific Gravity, Chatillon Gauge, Melting Point, Density, Spectrophotometer, etc.)
· Recognizing erroneous outcomes, reporting them immediately, and ensuring all sampling methodologies or processes are well controlled and documented.
· File/store all in-house retains and samples for all components and lots produced on a daily basis and ensure samples are properly labelled.
· Maintains a written record of inspection results on appropriate forms/lab book for each assigned test and inputs final status in computer system.
· Reports any OOS found during inspection/testing process to Director of Quality or designee; documents results/findings accordingly on QAR- forms.
· Communicates Reject status of any in-process bulk/ materials to Director of Quality or designee;
· Assists in executing validation processes (IQ, OQ, PQ, C&S, Product Protocol/Reports)
· Must have strong organizational, listening, written and oral communication skills
· Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work; should be process driven.
· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field, 1 to 5 years of experience a plus.
· Ability to speak, write and understand English, bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
Ability to read and understand USP Analytical methods and product specifications
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
