What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compensation Analyst position at Desert Financial Credit Union?
The Compensation Analyst under the direction of the Director of Compensation is responsible for managing key compensation databases to ensure timely and accurate updates using compensation survey data, competitive positioning and data validation audits. They will also manage incentive programs including analyzing and resolving any dispute requests.
What you will do here:
Maintain and administer key compensation databases, tools and associated compensation structure via participation in compensation surveys, providing analysis of competitive positioning and conducting data validation audits
Research and resolve incentive dispute requests for the various incentive programs using various systems and data points; communicate dispute decisions to applicable line of business leadership
Process various monthly, quarterly, and annual bonus and commission plans including production of presentations that identify current and year-over-year key compensation
Conduct compensation analysis on jobs; classify job exemption status, and determine salary grade
Assist with the administration of annual performance management and merit administration processes
Other duties as assigned
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Human Resources or related field OR equivalent combination of education and HR-related experience required.
A minimum of 1 year analyzing and interpreting data in a business setting required.
1 years experience in Sales Compensation perferred.
Analytical mindset and the ability to review large amounts of data and provide coherent analysis required.
Self-started with the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks independently and as part of a team required.
Demonstrated ability to maintain data integrity in compensation-related systems required.
Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word and with intermediated to advanced skills in Excel) required.
Ability to act with discretion, confidentiality, and good judgement required.
Excellent communicator- strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication, able to effectively communicate and present information to all levels of the organization required.
Critical thinker, skilled at uncovering innovative solutions and proactively addressing issues required.
Highly organized, detail oriented, thorough, and accurate required.
Flexible and easily adaptable to rapidly changing conditions required.
