ABOUT THE ROLE
The Head of Sales is responsible for leading our sales team to drive company revenue, maintain profitability, and ensure operational efficiency across the company. This pivotal role not only focuses on achieving and surpassing sales targets but also ensuring seamless operational integration between sales and production, enhancing customer satisfaction, and expanding our market reach both nationally and internationally.
Core Responsibilities
• Develop and execute high-profile sales and strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
• Drive the sales strategy in collaboration with the state based BDM/CRM team and the Project Consultants to ensure alignment and integration of sales initiatives.
• Manage national sales operations to ensure coverage and growth across the country.
• Play a critical role in establishing and expanding our international market presence.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
• Present sales, revenue, and forecasts to the founders and management team, ensuring that all data and reporting is presented accurately and punctually.
• Utilise Power BI - or equivalent reporting tools - to analyse sales data and trends to guide business decisions.
• Manage the sales department effectively, providing mentorship and enhancing productivity through thoughtful leadership and strategic incentives.
• Manage the sales team performance, fostering a positive environment of continuous improvement and exceptional service.
• Lead regular team meetings to ensure alignment and communication within the sales team and related departments.
• Implement a sales training and orientation program to educate the sales team on our products, our philosophy, and the competitive landscape.
• Ensure that all sales information is accurately and promptly passed on to the Production team to facilitate effective planning and operations.
• Ensure that production is kept at capacity to maintain profit margins.
• Collaborate with the Brand and Product Development teams to ensure brand consistency and increase sales through product innovations and enhancements.
• Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profits.
• Attend industry events and conferences to generate new business leads.
• Act as a company representative with major customers, government entities, and professional associations.
• Oversee and contribute to the implementation and management of any systems to enhance customer interactions and operational efficiency.
• Provide sales forecasts that can be utilised by the purchasing department to better manage stock availability and prevent stock outs.
• Contribute to our goal of being an aspirational brand that is admired for its ambition, ingenuity and culture.
Requirements
• Proven experience is a must - as a Head of Sales, Sales Manager or similar leadership role in a design-oriented, product development or creative business.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or relevant field; Master’s degree preferred. Industry experience will be preferenced in the event of no formal qualifications.
• Successful experience in sales, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
• Proficiency in Power BI or equivalent data visualisation and reporting tools.
• Experienced in CRM implementation and management.
• Ability to travel as needed, both nationally and internationally.
• Proven track record of growing sales and market segments.
