Job Description: designONE studio, a hospitality architectural and interior design firm has an immediate opening for an entry level Architect position with at least 2 years of experience in hospitality or similar projects. The primary activity will be to implement the project directives under the direction of the Project Manager and concentrate on specific design or documentation tasks that contribute to the overall project. The candidate must be able to collaborate with team members and consultants and work on multiple projects.
Desired Skills & Expertise:
- Registered Architect or working towards professional licensure
- Graduate of an accredited architectural program with a minimum Bachelor of Architecture degree (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Understanding of Construction Documentation
- Strong Communication and Organizational skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific responsibilities of the Architect may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Strong computer drafting skills
- Hand drawing and rendering skills
- Prepare presentation drawings using SKETCH-UP software
- Produce schematic, design development and construction documents, as directed
- Explore alternate design approaches as directed
- Work to achieve project goals and milestones
- Implement tasks and project expectations
- Communication with Project Manager, Team Members and Consultants
- General understanding of Codes, Building systems & components and Construction Methods
- Ability to travel out-of-state for project meetings
PREFERRED SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE:
- Microstation V8i (or similar CAD programs)
- Adobe Suite (Photoshop and InDesign)
- Microsoft Office Suite
- SKETCH-UP (or similar 3D programs)
- V-Ray for Sketch-Up
