JOB TITLE: Desktop Support Technician
LOCATION: Houston, TX
POSITION REPORTS TO: Service Desk Manager
WAGES: Commensurate with experience
SCHEDULE: 8:00am to 5:00pm: some overtime and weekends: some travel required
The primary duties of this position are the installation, configuration, upgrade, set up of end user systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. This position will also be supporting drivers with mobile app installation and usage. The position will support the company during normal working hours and participate in the On-Call rotation. SME in supporting and troubleshooting Windows 10, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, network printing, and IOS and Android devices. Manage the printer counts and invoices monthly for our printer maintenance contracts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Asset Inventory
- PC relocations, including well-ordered Cable Management
- Mobile Application Support
- Hardware maintenance, including firmware and drivers
- Extensive support with VPN and Wireless Networks
- Installation and configuration of local LAN printers
- First line support of audio/video conferencing technologies
- Other related tasks as assigned by manager
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Web Access
- Ability to troubleshoot Windows 10, including drivers, firmware, system performance, and network connectivity
- Proficiency in the support and installation of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Active Directory
- High level of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work independently
- Must be able to get along with others and work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent communication skills and documentation skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize
- Strong attention to detail
- Personal integrity and respect for confidential information
- The position will require non-standard/off-hours maintenance and ‘on call duty’ to resolve issues

- Must be able to move about the facility, squat, reach, pull lift, and use hands and fingers and other fine motor tasks.
- Occasionally will have to lift up to 50 LBS.
