Who We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a Tax Analyst to join our growing Finance & Accounting organization. This position would report directly to the Senior Tax Accountant and be part of our Operations Accounting Team. The Tax Analyst is part of a team responsible for the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns in multiple states. The Tax Analyst will also review monthly invoices and expenses from locations all over the United States for indirect tax compliance. The Tax Analyst will also assist the Senior Tax Accountant with tax projects.
Responsibilities & Duties:
* Primary responsibilities include preparing and filing transaction tax returns in state and local jurisdictions throughout the United States
* Prepares and files indirect tax returns including sales, use, and gross receipts
* Prepares or examines purchases, invoices, and expenses for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws
*Prepares or examines other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws
* Drive continuous improvement focusing on streamlining, improving, and automating processes
* Participate in system implementations or migrations and automation projects
* Reconcile data and returns within systems to ensure accuracy
* Provide audit support for external audits, including substantive and controls-related work
* Support ad hoc analysis requests
Requirements
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
* Combined minimum of two (2) years of indirect tax filings and tax accounting work experience with increasing abilities
* Knowledge of state and local taxes (SALT)
* Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table, Lookup functions, etc.)
* Knowledge and experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred

Schedule: * Tuesday and Thursday in the office *Flex work/remote work remainder of the week
