Our Full-Time Cath Lab RN team members provide direct patient care including treatments, activities, nourishment, drugs, and parenteral therapy safely and competently to the medical, cardiac, or surgical patients. Carries out physician orders to ensure patient care is complete. Abides by policy and procedure of the hospital and established routines to assure quality care is provided. Gives patient assignments and supervises the care of others when in charge. THIS bedside nursing role allows for variety, education, and growth opportunities for the NEW nurse, as well as TENURED nurses interested in optimizing the patient experience while staying busy and honing skills. About the Job:
- Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements, and documents nursing care
- Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
- Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
- Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills 21
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- 3x12s, varying days
Requirements:
- TX RN license (or Compact)
- Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelors preferred
- BLS certification, ACLS preferred
