Job Posting for Project Coordinator at Detroit Recovery Project
QUALIFICATIONS: The Program Coordinator should possess excellent skills in leadership, written and oral communication, working with volunteers, business and personnel management and computer proficiency. Strong conflict resolution and decision-making skills. Administrative ability, comprehensive knowledge of alcohol and drug abuse, knowledgeable in regard to Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and SUD treatment, recovery, HIV/AIDS and current legislative issues, demonstrable management skills.
Education Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in guidance and counseling, psychology, social work, vocational rehabilitation, business or public health administration or related field required.
Essential Duties:
Must have experience working with the community
Be familiar with community organizations
Be comfortable providing and coordinating and facilitating trainings and continuing education opportunities
Complete reports as required to the Program Director, working closely with the Program Evaluator and all program staff.
In conjunction with the Human Resources Department, recruit, train, evaluate and provide direct supervision of program staff.
Maintains continuous assessment and provides ongoing feedback to staff regarding their performance.
Completes written performance evaluations as required.
Markets and distributes information to assure the necessary referral network and program sustainability.
Ensure adherence to protocols, policies and procedures of the Agency as well as the evidence-based intervention models for service planning and program implementation.
Attend meetings and conferences as required for assurance of current knowledge and competence.
Ability to work independently and as a team member is of critical importance
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work involves the ability to flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends as needed. Must have reliable transportation as work involves the ability to travel throughout the metropolitan area.
