What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Specialist position at Deufol?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Daily monitoring of work quality and process adherence

· Lead investigations into product damage and shipment issues

· Process all paperwork related to damage or shipment claims

· Lead 5S efforts

· Conduct internal audits (process, 5S, documentation, etc)

· Assist corporate OpEx team with analysis, workshops, LEAN projects, process implementation, etc

· Ability to work normal and irregular hours/shifts

· Train employees on documented processes and new LEAN topics

· Occasional travel

· Other Duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

· Auto-CAD experience or ability to learn.

Ability to identify problems through analytical reasoning and resolve issues through creative thought processes.

· Communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and convey ideas clearly.

· Strong ability to interface with all levels of individuals within and outside the company.

· Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify root causes and propose effective solutions.

· Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on documentation and process standardization.

· Basic project management skills, including the ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines.

  • The noise level in the work environment may be somewhat loud.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee performs their work in a manufacturing setting indoors. The employee is also exposed to occupational hazards including but not limited to, moving auxiliary equipment high levels of power potential, physical obstacles, exposure to chemicals, slippery walking surfaces, and moving vehicles,etc. when in the warehouse.

· Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as designated by the company including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing and footwear in the appropriate areas and must follow safety practices.
