You will be a member of Deutsche Bank’s Mortgage and Real Estate Finance team that is part of the broader Asset-Backed Security (ABS) Primary franchise. The role focuses on supporting the origination, structuring, syndication and execution of ABS new issue and asset finance transactions in the mortgage and real estate sectors. Under the mentorship, and in collaboration with, senior team members, you will assist in all aspects of deal execution, from initial pitch stage through to closing settlement and execution including establishing warehouses, portfolio analysis, cash flow modeling, capital structure trenching and optimization, preparing marketing material, responding to investor diligence requests, obtaining the target tranche ratings, negotiating legal documentation, and facilitating settlement and execution.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Interact with a broad range of internal and external transaction participants, including asset manager clients, prospective investors, secondary trading, sales and research colleagues, rating agencies, internal risk management functions, trustees, collateral administrators, corporate service providers, legal counsels and regulatory, tax and accounting experts
Assisting with the establishment and negotiation of warehouse facilities. Monitoring and reporting on warehouse risk exposure
Obtaining internal transaction approvals from risk management functions, including credit, legal, regulatory, and accounting
Portfolio analysis. Cash flow modeling and scenario analysis. Development of analytical modeling tools
Determining capital structure trenching and optimization. Liaising with rating agencies to obtain the target tranche ratings
Assisting with preparation of marketing material. Responding to investor due diligence requests. Reviewing and negotiating legal transaction documentation
Your Skills and Experience:
Undergraduate degree
Curious attitude with desire to dig deeper to develop a detailed understanding. A positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team
Good quantitative skills. Strong attention to detail
Proficient communication skills, both written and oral. Anticipate needs: demonstrate initiative & pro-activeness with a willingness to learn. Excellent organization / prioritization skills
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel – VBA/programming skills a plus, but not essential
