Your Impact
The Budtender works one-on-one with guests to recommend products that best match their needs. Responsible for ensuring an excellent guest experience through friendly, outgoing service, strong communication skills, and fluency in all products.
What You’ll Do
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
- Welcome each guest personally using enthusiastic words, tone, and body language.
- Verify proper paperwork, documentation, age, and ID for guests.
- Work as a team to maintain an effective atmosphere and efficient service.
- Assist guests with knowledge of strains, cannabinoids, and all products while maintaining guest privacy.
- Operate POS and Facility Licensing Portal through AZDHS with accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer
- Label and package products with accuracy and efficiency.
- Clean, stock, and organize dispensary; work with others to keep all areas cleaned, organized, and stocked in accordance with the Company’s standards at all times.
- Input orders in a timely and accurate manner, collect money from guests for products purchased, and make the appropriate changes.
- Quickly and precisely handle cash and debit transactions while always maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Adhere to all Medical Cannabis laws and state regulations.
- Play an active part in patient education on products, methods of consumption, and safety as part of patient interaction
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and products offered.
- Update menus and signage with informative and visually appealing information.
What You Bring
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma.
- Knowledge of cannabis and HIPPA laws is required.
- Ability to acquire an Agent Card through the Arizona Department of Health Services.
- One year of retail or other applicable customer service experience required; cannabis industry experience preferred.
- Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations including weekend, holiday, and evening hours.
- Basic computer skills, Point of Sale software, and cash management.
- Basic mathematical skills and an ability to handle money and discounts with accuracy.
- Basic reading skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
