Dewberry is currently seeking a responsible, highly motivated, and detail oriented individual to join our Land Surveying department in the Charlotte, NC area as a Survey CAD Technician. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment as a member of a survey department, assisting in the performance of boundary, ALTA, topographic, right-of way acquisition, transmission line, and construction surveys. The position has opportunity for advancement for motivated individuals willing to learn the skills and technology required.

Responsibilities
- Assist the survey manager with all aspects field data production.
- Process field collection files and database maintenance.
- Prepare digital terrain models and contouring.
- Deed, plat & document research, title & easement review.
- Work in a safe manner and obey all safety regulations.
- Inventory of field survey supplies.
- Prepare as-built, boundary, topographic, tree & utility survey deliverables.
Required Skills & Required Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required, AAS or BS Degree in Surveying or AutoCAD preferred.
- 3 years of experience with AutoCAD is required.
- Knowledge of MicroStation, Trimble TBC, Leica Cloudworx, Cyclone and Carlson Civil Suite is a plus.
- Knowledge of 3-D Modeling a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs, particularly Word, Excel and Access.
- Able to take on and manage multiple jobs/tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to assist with a wide range of projects and work with multiple project managers.
- Strong interest in all phases of Surveying including Record Plats, Easements, ALTA Surveys, Topographic Surveys, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
- A strong general computer knowledge is a plus.
- High attention to detail, good organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
- Must be able to travel when needed.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in order to operate company vehicle if needed.
- Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening, if required of the job.
- Must be dependable.
