Molding Supervisor

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Workcell Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Molding Production Dept. Position will report directly to the Molding Manager.

Safety Responsibilities:

• Supports a culture where employees address unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors and participate and make suggestions for improvement.
• Identify safety gaps and self-initiate corrective actions.
• Strictly adhere to plant safety, housekeeping, and 5S efforts.
• Understands, identifies and corrects safety hazards.
• Create a work environment where risks are managed with an appropriate sense of urgency

Job Description:

• Lead, train, and mentor assigned Work Cell Coaches in the molding department.
• Communicate operational issues with other supervisors daily
• Maintain and improve Work Cell 5S program
• Identify and correct equipment reliability issues
• Develop teamwork on your shifts and with other shifts
• Ensure compliance with Plant initiatives such as ISO, GMA-Safe and GMP
• Review production schedules, orders, and related information to create work assignments and continually manage periods of machine downtime to create the most value for the shift
• Communicate with management and staff to follow production standards.
• Direct employees to be engaged in product measurement, inspection, and testing activities to ensure quality control and reliability.
• Work closely with Molding Manager and Work Cell Coaches on improving utilization of personnel, material and manufacturing processes.
• Complete production reports, purchase orders, material, tool, and equipment lists
• Develop Skill and Knowledge performance plans
• Conduct annual employee performance evaluations

Basic Qualifications:

• 2 - 5 years experience supervising employees within a manufacturing, military or industrial environment
