About The Role
As our Systems Engineer in Dexterity, you will work closely with other IT/Infra teams to administer Dexterity compute and network for the systems deployed at various customer sites for all Dexterity product lines. Everyday you will be involved in commissioning servers/computes and also to monitor network performance, ensure network availability and reliability as well as provide support and troubleshooting to resolve issues. You will develop practices to help Dexterity measure, monitor and report on the state of key security metrics and compliance gaps across the company. To thrive in this role you will be an integral part of the Infra team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available compute and network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.
As a System engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Help develop server automation platform to ensure timely delivery of compute resources
Linux/Ubuntu OS SysAdmin
Implement, maintain, and support our growing hardware and software network infrastructure.
Administer various devices and services from website, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, SD WAN, WiFi.
Maintain systems software (upgrades including OS, service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations).
Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team i.e help with ISO and SOC2 compliance initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience.
5 years of experience in system engineering at scale.
Hands-on experience with system and network architecture and design.
Preferred Qualifications:
System Provisioning Experience: IPMI, PXE, iPXE, DHCP, Foreman, Netbox, Collins, RedHat Kickstart, Debian Preseed
Hardware Experience: HPE, Dell, SuperMicro Servers Cloud Experience: GCP, AWS, Azure, terraform, cloud formation
Experience as a Network Systems Administrator
Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools Wireshark, sflow, et al
Understanding of enterprise network hardware Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, et al
Deep understanding of networking protocols DNS, IPSec, BGP, 802.11, QoS)
Software development skills in Python, Go, Bash (or other languages) a plus
CI/CD: Gitlab, Jenkins or similar a plus
Configuration Management Experience: CFEngine, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt a plus
CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certifications a plus

Base pay is one element of our Total Rewards package which may also include comprehensive benefits and equity etc., depending on eligibility. The annual base salary range for this position is from $140,000 to $170,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as years of relevant experience, skills, education etc. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
