Coin Sales Person

Who are we?

We are a highly successful 40 year old company specializing in coins and bullion, in need of retail storefront sales and customer service assistance. We are a medium size private company located with HQ in So. California serving the precious metals business. The open position is for our coin shop in Phoenix, AZ.

Who are you?

You are someone who knows how to get started, how to lead, you know what you are doing and can train others, and you want to work in an exciting industry. The ideal candidate is outgoing, motivated, attentive, and energetic. We need someone who can be polite, friendly, and patient with customers even when it’s not easy. The position involves a lot of work with coins, bullion, and precious metals, so previous experience in the coin and bullion business is desirable.

What will you do all day?

Customer Service/Sales Associate

Job Purpose:
Customer service associate assists customers with retail and wholesale transactions and provides them with information and education on products we buy and sell. Also provides support for other team members.

Duties:

• Greeting customers and making sure they are attended promptly and courteously.
• Buying and selling coins, currency, jewelry, etc.
• Testing metals and coins for authenticity.
• Watching the front of the store and being available to help.
• Make sure all displays and merchandise are neat, clean, organized and stocked.
• Following all cash-reporting, anti-money-laundering, and pawn-reporting guidelines.
• Answering incoming phone calls.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Strong retail sales/customer service background.
• College or University education.
• Professional appearance is a must; professional conduct is a bigger must!
• Jewelry or precious metal experience is a plus; coin knowledge is a huge plus!
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Excellent math skills are necessary; so are excellent interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual Spanish would be very helpful.
• Good computer skills, Microsoft Excel in particular.
• Strong work ethic, initiative, and problem solving skills
• Ability to be on your feet all day, lift and carry at least 40 lbs. when needed
