Summary:
The Training Manager is responsible for the successful implementation, oversight, and sustainability of a wide range of training programs and initiatives including New Hire Onboarding and “Training the DHL Way” .Responsibilities include planning, implementing, facilitating, leading, scheduling and KPI reporting. The Training Manager ensures programs are successfully and faithfully rolled out and maintained and that the training structure is responsive to the needs of the DC. The Training Manager will manage and develop onsite Training staff in successfully carrying out DHL eCommerce’s training programs: “Train the Trainers”. This position is also responsible for driving the culture of safety and continuous learning and ensuring standardized training aligned to DHL’s core values and DC goals. The Training Manager builds and maintains collaborative partnerships with DC Leadership teams working towards mutually defined objectives. On-site training staff in the DC will report into this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads, organizes, facilitates, and implements the continuous improvement of the New Hire Onboarding program.
- Reports weekly and monthly KPI on DC Onboarding and Training Program.
- Identifies and assesses current and future training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with leaders.
- Works in close partnership with leaders and functional teams to design and deliver functional training plans that supports priorities and development opportunities.
- Creates and delivers training solutions that translate complex processes into easy-to-understand course materials and job aids.
- Implements strategies to track and communicate training status updates and business impact.
- Ability to execute in a variety of training mediums: operations floor trainings, online learning, classroom learning, and other.
- Maintains a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices.
- Develops, maintains and supports training for New Process Implementations.
- Supports employee training, development, onboarding, and retention efforts.
- Helps manage, assess and track the conversion of temporary agency employees to fulltime DHL.
- Helps manage retention tracking and employee turnover rates and supports retention efforts.
- Determines time allotted for training in each role and a path for development of frontline employees.
- Manages and supports the further development of the New Hire Onboarding.
- Manages and directs the work of onsite training personnel.
- Maintains understanding of new educational and training techniques and methods.
- Supports other activities as requested.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, education, HR or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of operational training experience
- 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.).
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel) required.
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies is a plus.
- Training within Industry experience a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Able to work a range of shifts based on operational needs.
- Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting.
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Up to 10% travel may be required for offsite meetings and training.
