Job Description
Manage projects to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality. Provide effective leadership to the project team, and take appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
Develop detailed project plans, project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.- Utilize project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
- Communicate major milestones and identify potential project risks.
- Manage project risks and take proactive action when needed.
- Track key project milestones and adjust project plans and/or resources to meet needs of customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Obtain and provide feedback at critical milestones and at project completion to ensure that project efforts meet customer expectations for contracted time, cost, and performance.
- Conduct regular status meetings to review project activities.
- Manage changing scope (i.e. change management) and project acceptance criteria.
- Translate project requirements into project objectives and tasks.
- Create acceptance for project success (including Stakeholder Management).
- Translate project requirements into project objectives and tasks and lead the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability and project delivery.
- Utilize suggested project management processes and methodologies.
- Identify risks to the success of the project.
- Contribute to managing the project budget and reporting progress of the project on an ongoing basis.
- Implement and manage the communications plan.
- Support proposal development.
Required Education and Experience
- University Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience, required
- 1-3 years of experience working in project environments
- High level of proficiency with MS Office suite
- Professional project management certification, e.g. IPMA D, Prince 2 Foundation level, DePict, etc.
