Position Summary:
Project Manager is responsible for the initiation, planning, execution, control and completion of assigned projects ensuring consistency with the organization's overall goals. Also, to advocate for project management methodologies and support project management functions throughout the Credit Union.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Essential Functions:
- To organize, facilitate, and coordinate projects from inception through completion.
- Embrace and contribute to project management culture with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting stakeholder needs.
- Produce reports for and attend meetings with executive management, making presentations on project/program progress.
- Prepare comprehensive plans and other artifacts for projects.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to multiple projects of varying scope and impact.
- Complete various coordination tasks, such as maintaining project documentation and handling status updates.
Required Skills / Abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge of managing throughout the project lifecycle - initiation, planning, execution, controlling, and closing
- Familiarity or experience with project/program management processes and methodologies
- Basic understanding of financial reporting and financial institutions
- Exceptional leadership and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to ensure personnel related issues are handled in a fair, consistent manner
- Ability to compile, organize and present information clearly and concisely
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience in working with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced organizational, planning and time management skills
- Ability for minimal travel.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, IT, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Four or more years of project management experience.
- Project Management certification preferred (PMP, CAPM, Scrum, Google Project Management)
