What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Assistant Teacher position at Diamond Street Early Childhood Center?
Diamond Street Early Childhood Center is a medium sized nonprofit Preschool and Childcare Center. We seek to hire individuals who are high energy and have a passion for providing children with the opportunity to reach their potential despite outside circumstances. We are currently seeking an Assistant Teacher for children ages 2 to 3. This position is full time, Tuesday to Friday 7:30-5:30 and will work as part of a team of teachers caring for two classrooms of older toddlers.
The right candidates will:
- Be high energy and the able to work well with others (staff, children, and parents)
- Clear full background check, pass health screening, be able to lift 30 lbs. and move freely around a typical classroom in order to safely supervise the children at all times.
- Hold a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of child care experience/2500 verifiable hours working with children (not related to you) through a work or volunteer arrangement including babysitting, helping with children's activities at church or camp
