Summary: Diamondback is an independent oil and natural gas company headquartered in Midland, Texas focused on the acquisition, development, exploration, and exploitation of unconventional, onshore oil and natural gas reserves in the Permian Basin in West Texas.
Under general supervision of the leader, the IT Analyst I is responsible for the completion of work supporting the IT department and the general operations of the company working directly with departments within IT and other disciplines. The role will include exposure to application development, reporting and analytics, data integration, infrastructure management, desktop management, and cyber security.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist on projects directly impacting the results achieved in the department assigned
- Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to diagnose and remediate system risks and issues as well as drive key business outcomes
- Evaluate and assist with implementation of improvements to existing applications and processed collaboratively with the business
- Provide customer service through resolving service requests, escalating requests to the appropriate teams, and effectively communicating with stakeholders
- Create, update, and maintain application documentation ensuring alignment to value drivers
- Participate in release management activities
- Attend stand up calls with various IT teams
- Provide operational support of application solutions, integration tools, and any ancillary processes or systems
- Review key IT controls for cyber security and SOX compliance
- Provide quality compliance and administrative support to the department
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a similar discipline
- Strong communication skills to work with all levels of an organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior work experience or internship is desirable
- Examples of suggested and implemented process improvements to increase efficiency
- Flexibility regarding daily work assignments and priorities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail with ability to quickly pick up on new concepts
