Summary: Performs treasury/finance activities relating to company's Treasury Operations processes under direct supervision. Responsible for balancing and reconciling the company’s bank accounts on a daily basis. Works with treasury management bank, customer service, and other business units to resolve Treasury issues. Responsible for performing accounting functions using generally accepted accounting principles. Compiles data, prepares journal entries and assists in the preparation of various accounting schedules and reports. Responsible for monitoring and maintenance of specific ledger accounts. Responsible for daily processing of checks, cash position, bank account management, and other treasury activities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily cash balances for multiple companies and accounts
- Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations
- Perform additional Treasury operations functions (i.e. stop pay, Remote Corporate Capture (RCC), etc)
- Responsible for the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts that pertain to Treasury, as required
- Initiate money transfers between accounts to ensure funding
- Initiate wire transfers and electronic fund transfers (ACHs/EFTs)
- Process weekly or special check runs
- Prepare deposits for incoming checks
- Resolve positive pay exceptions through the online banking website
- Initiate check management as needed including stop pays, voids, returns & reissues
- Maintain delegation of authority for multiple companies
- Prepare cash related journal entries
- Handle outstanding checks
- Compile senior notes tracking & interest payments
- Compile revolver loan tracking & interest payments
- Complete credit applications as needed
- Monitor and adhere to SOX compliance & record retention
- Complete filing, scanning & attaching documents
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- At least one (1) year of experience in a treasury role or similar accounting position
- At least one (1) year of demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BBA or BS) in Accounting or a similar discipline preferred
- Ability to multi-task on competing and deadline sensitive priorities
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with all levels of the organization
- Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and be able to pick up on new concepts easily
- Flexible regarding workload and priorities
