What are the responsibilities and job description for the iOS Engineer position at DICE?
Live shows make us feel good. They’re a time to hang with our friends, discover new artists or lose ourselves on a dance floor. We’re on a mission to bring all of this to more fans, more often – and that’s where you come in.
We’re looking for an iOS Engineer to join our Product team and build an exceptional mobile DICE experience that keeps fans coming back.
At DICE, you’ll be part of the company that’s redefining live entertainment. It's a place where you can be yourself, influence the culture, and create work that you’re proud of.
About the role
DICE is growing quickly and we’ve got big goals for growing our app. You and your squad will be responsible for making our product better: you'll have a direct impact on both what we build and how we build it. You’ll focus on building amazing fan experiences, creating customer growth and building our streaming offering.
Our app uses the latest version of Swift and is structured using the MVVM architecture, while dependencies are managed through CocoaPods. We leverage protocols and extensions to abstract functionality shared between classes and structs, and use unit tests to check the VM and business logic. Pipelines are automated using Fastlane, which saves us significant time making releases, running tests, building and uploading to TestFlight, while maintaining certificates, provisioning profiles and other recurring tasks.
You’ll be
- Helping us figure out the best direction for our product
- Maintaining existing and add additional functionality to our iOS app
- Building, designing and trialling new features
- Solving technical challenges
- Working in cross-functional teams on varied projects
You are
- Passionate, humble and talented
- A fan of music and culture
- Actively responsible
- An excellent engineer
- A problem-solver
- Knowledgeable about computer science
You’ll need
- Experience building iOS apps
- Experience building and iterating on at least one app on the App Store
- To be comfortable working on a large and modular code base

During the pandemic, we’ve learned that working from home can help us focus, but many of us are missing the buzz of the office. We’re still figuring out the best way for us all to work together in the future, and we’ll involve the whole team in any decisions we make.
Our Product team is distributed, with hubs in London & Samara, and one on the way in Barcelona. But we’re looking for talented people, wherever you are.
Application process
Our process usually involves a quick chat on the phone, a portfolio review and/ or task and a couple of interviews where you’ll meet the people you’ll work with. We’ll keep you fully informed along the way.
