We're seeking an IT manager who will work on-site in Rancho Cordova, CA. In this dynamic position, you'll oversee the seamless functioning of our systems, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and performance standards are not just met, but exceeded. Your leadership will be pivotal in managing our diverse IT team, comprising Software Development, Network Engineering, Desktop Support, Telephony, Security, and Servers Management.
As the gatekeeper of our technology landscape, you'll orchestrate the testing and implementation of new software and enhancements related to payment processing and data capture, ensuring their timely delivery and efficacy. Your expertise will drive workflow improvements, from inception to documentation, implementation, monitoring, and reporting, with a keen eye on reducing inefficiencies.
Your role extends to assessing and implementing process enhancements, continually evaluating their effectiveness, and reporting potential opportunities for improvement. You'll spearhead the automated collection and dissemination of statistical information related to payment processing, fostering informed decision-making across the board.
Error resolution will be within your purview, as you identify issues and implement strategies for continuous improvement. You'll keep senior management informed with regular updates and status reports, while also playing a pivotal role in the analysis and implementation of new projects.
To excel in this role, you'll need a minimum of 60 months' experience managing high-volume, 24-hour batch-driven collections and disbursements processing systems. Your technical prowess should encompass Windows networking, server and PC hardware/software troubleshooting, LAN/WAN configurations, and the coordination of technical tasks with offsite personnel.
Your toolkit should include strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a knack for fostering positive relationships with vendors and stakeholders. While experience in purchasing, customer service, and personnel management is desirable, familiarity with VoIP systems and web-based applications is a definite plus.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Supervise the system operations to ensure that the milestones, deliverables and performance standards are met.
- Lead management of the IT team, consisting of Software Development, Network Engineering, Desktop Support, Telephony, Security, and Servers Management.
- Management of testing and implementation of all new software and software enhancements related to payment processing and data capture. Responsible to the delivery of the enhancements and monitoring their effectiveness.
- Development of workflow improvements their documentation, implementation, monitoring and reporting. Responsible to the measurement and reduction of workflow.
- Assessment and development of potential process enhancements, their implementation and monitoring. Review of the effectiveness of those enhancements. Responsible to regular reporting of potential opportunities and the performance of actions taken.
- Statistical information related to payment processing in an automated, ongoing, disseminated fashion. Responsible to the creation, implementation and assignment of the statistical gathering process.
- Identification of and determining resolution to errors and responsibility to the downward trend of those errors.
- Responsible to providing updates and status reports to senior
- New Project analysis and implementation. Handoff and documentation to operations staff.
- A minimum of 60 months experience managing a higher volume 24 - hour, batch driven collections and disbursements processing system, including problem resolution and troubleshooting responsibilities
- Strong background in Windows networking (Active Directory, group policies, security groups, roaming profiles, etc.).
- Be able and willing to troubleshoot server and PC hardware and software, large and small scale. Must have a strong functional and support skills with all common Microsoft desktop applications (Windows, MS Office, etc.) and server-based applications (IIS, MSSQL, DNS, DHCP, FTP).
- Thorough understanding of the standards and variables involved in LAN/WAN (TCP/IP) networking and must be able to apply that knowledge to the support and configuration of the same. Along those lines, knowledge of the physical wiring of computer networks (CAT5/6, Fiber) should be mandatory.
- Ability to frequently communicate with offsite personnel and the coordination of technical tasks with those individuals to complete time sensitive projects without issue. Many of these tasks require documentation as well. You will possess strong written and verbal skills and the ability to assertively promote the best interests of the SDU.
- You should have experience in, purchasing, vendor relations, customer service, and personnel management. Some phone system (preferably VoIP) experience would be useful. An understanding of web-based applications (Intranet and Internet) is needed. Web programming experience would be a bonus.
- Additional desired (but not required) skills include Linux/Unix administration experience, ASP and VB programming experience, high-volume printing and scanning systems experience, MS Access programming and administration.
