Job Details
MUST HAVE -
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred
- 7 or more years of relevant job experience related to roadway engineering (experience with VDOT preferred)
- Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads and AutoCAD
- Strong technical background to support the growth of our practice
- Sponsible for working with a team of engineers on the planning and design of transportation projects
- Projects include intersection and interchange design, new roadway alignments, roadway widenings, roundabouts, interstates, and pedestrian and bicycle facilities
- Responsible for the design of horizontal and vertical alignments, development of roadway plans and profiles, roadside evaluation elements, maintenance of traffic design, preparation of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates and the development of technical reports
