Responsibilities:
- Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure AWS-based solutions, ensuring high performance and security.
- Lead the technical direction for cloud solutions, aligning with business goals to enhance value.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications, working closely with business analysts, project managers, and clients.
- Guide development teams on AWS best practices and architectural guidelines, providing technical leadership and mentoring.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance productivity and quality, staying informed about emerging technologies.
- Conduct architectural reviews and ensure adherence to standards and best practices, regularly reviewing system designs.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation and technical roadmaps, creating and updating comprehensive documentation.
- Provide expert advice on cost optimization and performance tuning on AWS, offering strategic recommendations.
- Ensure robust security practices and compliance with industry standards, implementing and enforcing security measures.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions promptly, acting as the escalation point for complex problems.
- Mentor junior architects and engineers, supporting their professional growth through guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development, staying current with industry trends and AWS advancements.
- Participate in project planning and provide technical input during the project lifecycle, contributing to plans, schedules, and deliverables.
- Present technical solutions to clients and stakeholders, communicating complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Extensive experience with AWS services (S3, VPC, API Gateway, CloudWatch, etc.), with a proven track record in utilizing these services.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing AWS Lambda functions, preferably with Node.js.
- Strong background in microservices architecture using Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with AWS QuickSight for data visualization, creating dashboards and reports.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and GitHub for CI/CD pipelines, setting up and managing continuous integration and deployment.
- Knowledge of GraphQL and Hasura.
- Experience with Kafka for event streaming.
- Understanding of LaunchDarkly for feature management.
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL databases.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
