Job Title: Return-to-Work Consultant- Independent Contractor - 1099

Job Description:
Dickerson Disability Consulting is a small full-service Disability Management Company. This Position requires administrative solid, excellent written, grammar, and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The contractor will also need the ability to work independently from home, in the field, and in the field.

We are looking for a candidate who wants to enter or continue a career in the Disability Management/HR community. A strong people person is a must; Also must have a good professional appearance. The candidate will learn how to prepare Job Analysis, Ergonomic Evaluations, and Interactive/Compliance Reports.

The candidate will provide consulting services to private and public employers that work in the Risk Management and Human Resources Arena. The Position is a Part-time Independent Contractor assignment; 20 to 25 hours a week.

Base Pay: Hourly ($20.00 to $30.00) Depending on Experience

Required Travel: Field Work/Remote

Skills/Qualifications Required for Position:

  • Successful candidates for this Position need to be experienced and dynamic administrative assistants with a proven track record with at least two years of experience.
  • Ability to type various types of industry reports
  • Highly Organized
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective use of time management skills
  • Strong people / interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with a minimum of supervision;
  • Flexible/Moderate Pace
  • Advanced-Intermediate skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Enjoy working with people in the field

  • Keeping detailed notes
  • Professional attire/appearance; Will Attend outside meetings

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Administrative ~ approximately 60% of responsibilities

  • General administrative and clerical duties included but were not limited to: typing, filing, copying and faxing, etc.
  • Managing calendar and appointments
  • Answering and Returning phone calls, recording message
  • Inputting and managing databases (Case Management Software)
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Typing timely reports (Job Analysis, Ergonomic Evaluation, Interactive Reports, etc.)
  • Attend meetings and or prepare follow-up notes; edit reports.
  • Managing contact lists
  • Learn how to conduct meetings independently

Field Assistant approximately 40% of Responsibilities:

  • The primary responsibility of this Position is to serve as an Executive Assistant for the company’s President supporting overall daily activities, client reports, billings, and meeting
  • Act as Consultant to perform follow-up with clients on various assignments
  • Attend meetings on behalf of DDCS/Via Zoom or in Person
  • Act as liaison/representative for DDCS at multiple meetings or functions
  • Work with DDCS to develop internal processes to improve or streamline current work processes
  • Manage billing and tracking of invoices
  • Ability to work from home and require little to no supervision

COVID-19 considerations:
Because of COVID-19, almost all meetings are done by Zoom conferencing. But there are some meetings held in person where a mask is required. To secure this position, you must be fully vaccinated.
