DSU is seeking Adjunct Instructor(s) for Exercise Science. DSU is seeking both in-person and remote instructors. The adjunct instructor(s) will teach exercise science courses, potentially including nutrition, biomechanics, strength and conditioning, advanced athletic development, exercise physiology, and/or courses as needed, in 8 and/or 16-week blocks for fall and/or spring semesters. Minimum enrollment will be required for courses to be held.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Master’s degree or higher in Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Nutrition, or related field
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
- Competencies in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and be self-motivated
- Demonstrated commitment to being detail and service orientated
- Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, oral and written
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year teaching experience in post-secondary educational environment
- Demonstrated ability to teach using the Blackboard Learning Management system or similar
DELIVERABLES & OUTCOMES:
- Teach 1-2 classes a semester, as needed
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
- Salary Schedule of $650-1,050/credit, commensurate with qualifications and experience
MAIN OFFICE LOCATION: Dickinson, ND, remote working may be acceptable
POSITION DETAILS:
- 2120 Adjunct Faculty
- Part-time
- Exempt from FLSA Overtime
- Non-benefited
