Our team lives by Four Core Values. We are Personable, Tenacious, Innovative and focus on Selfless Service. We are currently seeking a Non-Ferrous Metals Trader to join our Purchasing and Sales Team, who possesses our same values.
The Non-Ferrous Metals Trader will work to expand and create opportunities with new customers in our target markets and to provide support for existing accounts. This position requires an understanding of aluminum and other non-ferrous metals purchasing and sales.
Objectives of the Non-Ferrous Metals Trader
- Prospect, build and maintain lasting relationships with customers, brokers and mills by understanding our focus and needs.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to expedite workflow.
- Stay current with industry trends and pricing.
- Oversee and achieve organizational goals while upholding best practices.
- Support and solve problems for customers by understanding and exceeding their expectations.
- Illustrate the value of products and services to create growth opportunities.
- Follow up with clients regularly to ensure needs are being met and identify future opportunities.
- Maintain a database of clients, prospects, partners and vendors.
The right individual will have the following qualifications:
- Outstanding negotiation skills
- Proven experience as an Account Manager or other outside sales/purchasing role
- Strong knowledge of the non-ferrous market
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
- 2 years experience in metals buying and sales
