Minimum Requirements
Responsibilities :
- Maintain a consistent flow of meat products through processing machines.
- Visually inspect products and packaging for deformities, imperfections, and quality control issues.
- Lift, push, and pull products to facilitate material flow.
- Hand-stuff, formulate, and link products using traditional processes with attention to detail.
- Place finished products into pre-formed boxes for distribution.
- Check the temperature of products to ensure they meet packaging requirements.
Physical Requirements :
- Stand in one place for 80% of the shift (8 hours per day).
- Walk throughout the department for 20% of the shift (8 hours per day).
- Frequent use of both hands and arms.
- Full and frequent manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift overhead using both arms.
- Bend, twist, and squat as needed throughout the shift (8 hours per day)
- Must have and be able to wear waterproof steel toe / composite boots
Job Requirements :
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Reliable transportation.
- U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
- Willingness to submit to a drug screen and background check.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Must be willing to wear required PPE and follow required sanitation guidelines
- Military experience welcome
Working Conditions :
- Environment maintained at a temperature between 28 F and 34 F.
- Ability to work constantly in a refrigerated environment (8 hours per day).
- Slippery floors when wet due to constant spillage and sanitation.
Due to refrigeration that is required for the products, the room temperature is maintained at a temperature between 28 degrees (F) and 34 degrees (F), therefore candidates must be able to work in this environment constantly throughout the shift (8 hours per day).
