The Job
We are looking for an experienced Buyer who will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating parts/materials and maintaining vendor relations on behalf of the company. The role is very important since our production cannot begin without the necessary parts. The ideal candidate must be a responsible individual with great attention to detail. Responsibilities
- Source all commodity parts and ensure suitable inventories are maintained.
- Aggregate orders with our main vendors and negotiate best pricing.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure appropriate timing of deliveries and follow-up as needed to prevent delays in production.
- Manage all shipping and receiving logistics of materials.
- Communicate with Project Managers regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production.
- Work closely to ensure contracts and terms are favorable.
- Other duties, as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
- 3 years experience in supply chain or procurement roles
- Filtration experience and knowledge of piping and plumbing parts strongly preferred
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Proven negotiation skills
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement best practices and trends
- Goal oriented team player
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other software programs
Pay Rate and Benefits
- Salary from $70,000 and up (commensurate with experience) plus 10% annual bonus potential
- 9 paid holidays plus 14 days paid time off in first year
