Remote Business Analyst - (BI) - Metrics, Automation and Reporting Analyst - Remote


6 months W2 with benefits and PTO - contract to hire


Must have PowerBI and Excel, create metrics and reporting workflows.


Location: Remote


The BA will be responsible for maintaining metrics, managing requirements, documenting technical solutions, collecting, and analyzing data, advanced use of Excel and Power BI, presenting materials to executive leadership, coordinating with cybersecurity product and lifecycle teams, and ensuring timelines and decisions are made swiftly. This role is actively engaged in the High Priority Security Initiative (HPSI) Program identifying progress, risk, dependencies, escalations, and resolutions. The BA thus understands the cybersecurity landscape, maintains alignment, and assesses delivery of current and future requirements. This role requires a critical thinker, understanding cybersecurity primary tenants, and the ability to adapt quickly to information and act. The role requires the ability to exercise sound judgement on requirements, data quality and analysis, especially experienced in metrics driven environment, have excellent written and oral communications skills, and be proficient at working with a globally dispersed team.


Key Responsibilities



  • The Business Analyst is responsible for the data analytics development, implementation, growth, and ongoing metrics management for the Office of the CISO.

  • The Analyst will work cross-functionally with the Cybersecurity Tower leads, OT leadership, IT leadership, financial team, and other stakeholder groups to maintain and advance the cyber framework and support the strategic and tactical work in the Office of the CISO.

  • The BA will be responsible for tracking the HPSI program elements, progress, issues and quickly identify quantitative data to support recommendations for actions to drive resolution or increase efficiencies

  • Be an active contributor to a talented and maturing team

  • Review, analyze, troubleshoot, and drive issue resolution with teams

  • Collaborate to determine appropriate users and groups; escalate issues as required for quick problem resolution

  • Follow up with stakeholders at predefined intervals to ensure issues are resolved satisfactorily and documented

  • Document, and maintain relevant internal process documentation

  • Identify areas that can be streamlined and automated

  • Collect and analyze data to build plans and processes that support current requirements and scale with projected growth

  • Provide input in the development and execution of the Office of the CISO and the HPSI Program

  • Identify and influence the adoption of best practices by project/program

  • Manage the impact analysis process to determine program focus priorities

  • Track and drive the resolution of all corrective action activity

  • Participates in selected HPSI project implementation to ensure that appropriate security controls are built into systems prior to production cutover.

  • Contribute to cybersecurity roadmap development for enterprise-level systems and ensure alignment with overall security strategy, paying specific attention to HPSI and critical projects

  • Drive process improvements and influences peers and executive leadership with data analysis and metric

  • Maintains confidentiality of information of the programs and company


Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree, Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8-10 years of related Cybersecurity experience

  • Experience in creating process mapping, and procedure documentation

  • Experience with cyber technology integrations

  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis, documentation, and reporting using multiple tools and software products from Xcel, Power BI to PowerPoint and document creation.

  • Familiarity computer networking concepts and protocols; industry-standard and organizationally accepted analysis principles and methods; and network security methodologies

  • Knowledge of the corporate cybersecurity threat landscape, cyber threats and vulnerabilities, system, and application security threats

  • Familiarity with cloud structure and security monitoring capabilities for Azure and O365

  • Certifications in CISSP/CISM/CRISC/PMP/COBIT/TOGAF a plus.

  • Leadership and adaptability when facing unique challenges encountered to effectively work with individuals in diverse cultures and business environments.

  • Strong work ethic and a proactive mindset with ability to think "outside of the box" to solve problems.

  • Proven ability to work independently and in a multi-tasking environment with strong analytical and conflict resolution skills.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong meeting organization and facilitation skills.
