About the Position
Over the past two years we have seen significant growth in our offerings, and will be starting several large-scale digitization jobs in the near future. We are seeking an experienced Manager to be our new Digital Projects Floor Manager to help existing Management smoothly transition our business through our next phase of growth.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- BFA in photography, imaging, or related field, and/or or equivalent related work experience.
- 5 years experience managing heritage digitization projects.
- Quality control experience, assessment through remediation
- Project and people management experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Valid US Driver's License
- Work On-Site M-F during business hours
Prefered
- Experience with Digital Transitions products
- Experience achieving FADGI or Metamorfoze standards using Golden Thread or similar technology
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyzes production resource usage trends and anticipates upcoming requirements to ensure the most efficient use of resources and proactively works with the Head of Digital Operations (HDO) and the Client Strategy Manager to identify staff and equipment needs for upcoming and forecasted projects in a variety of geographic locations.
- Works on-site at our Chantilly facility.
- Manages and has a broader overview and scope of concurrent projects.
- Involved with monitoring and reporting of multiple ongoing projects.
- Identifies personnel and equipment needs for project requirements in the process of developing project plans.
- Responsible for the hiring and onboarding of new staff with support from existing Management..
- In conjunction with project managers is responsible for project monitoring, management, and evaluation.
- They monitor, track, and control outcomes, facilitating project team meetings for ongoing projects to ensure performance, progress, and to address problems that arise.
- Report to external clients or organizational leadership regarding project status, progress, metrics and risks. They also provide feedback, advice, and encouragement to the project managers and team members during project execution.
- Make recommendations for best practices and tools to ensure processes and procedures are codified in SOPs that are followed company wide to increase efficiency, boost productivity, and achieve project and business goals.
- Verifies that all proposals, contracts, policies and workflows are followed throughout projects and creates documentation that supports these processes.
- Some digitization is performed on location at clients domestic and foreign. Pursuant to their other responsibilities, travel to said locations. Estimated travel days per year: 10 to 20.
- Monitors and reports production statistics.

Supervision
The Digital Projects Floor Manager will directly report to the Head of Digital Operations and will work both independently and collaboratively depending on the project load. The work of the Digital Projects Floor Manager requires an ability to monitor multiple complex projects and resources simultaneously.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range $60,000 - $90,000 per annum
