Overview Dignity Healths Pacific Central Coast Health Centers (PHC) is a non-profit Community clinic organization comprised of more than 40 health centers located primarily from Ventura to Templeton spanning the coast. Our experienced physicians and advanced practice providers offer a wide range of primary and specialty care services. PHC is a part of Dignity Health Central Coasts award-winning network of outstanding hospitals imaging centers laboratories and post-acute services. Responsibilities Position Summary: In keeping with the Pacific Central Coast Health Centers health care philosophy the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing direct patient care in an ambulatory setting Qualifications Minimum: Possession of a valid California License as a Registered Nurse Possession of a California Certificate as a Nurse Practitioner Certificate as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner One (1) year experience as a registered Nurse on a Psychiatric Inpatient Unit Psychiatric Emergency Service clinic or Mental Health Center OR Possession of a valid permanent California License as a Physician Assistant issued by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance and one (1) year experience as a Physician Assistant on a Psychiatric Inpatient Unit Psychiatric Emergency Service clinic or Mental Health Center. Verification/Waiver: Verification of qualifying experience education and/or training is required at the time of filing. Candidates unable to do so may submit a letter requesting a waiver of this requirement indicating the reason(s) a verification cannot be obtained. Failure to submit verification or request for the waiver will result in application rejection. Communications Candidates must possess the following abilities: to express oneself effectively both orally and in writing; actively listen to others for understanding of their needs and situations; speak and write English clearly; read and understand correspondence memoranda and directives and effectively represent the organization department and its operations to management and the public. Preferred: Minimum five years experience in acute care facility i.e. hospital; specialty training in areas of trauma/urgent care pediatrics and gynecology minor office surgical procedures.
