Job Posting for Database Architect/ Civil Engineer at Diligent Consulting Inc

Are you expert in designing and implementing relational databases across multiple platforms and have civil engineering in your background?  And do you want to make a difference for our nation's transportation infrastructure?  If so, you may be the person we are looking for!

You will be responsible for the architecture, development, production, maintenance, and administration of the BIP and BMP enterprise databases ensuring data integrity and security; implementing and optimizing queries and stored procedures; and assisting with legacy data conversion as needed.

You will also perform on-site safety inspections of bridges, culverts, and tunnels, and review and update bridge inspection reports, develop repair recommendations, and be able to review structural analysis data.

Minimum Position Requirements

To succeed in this position, you will need to perform relational database management in Microsoft SQL Server, Access, and Oracle.  You will need to have in-depth experience with object-oriented programming and database design.  And you must have experience developing web applications using Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Web Developer.
