Role: Project Manager
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Remote (Needs to be local at Arizona)
We hope your company can help us find an experienced IT PROJECT MANAGER to fill a need in our City of Phoenix IT PMO. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to help lead a high-visibility project for our Privacy Office and will interact with our growing team of 35 PMs and BAs, and our Privacy Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adherence to the Governance process by engaging stakeholders, preparing status reports and briefings
- Conduct project planning exercises to successfully deliver the project
- Vendor Management tasks including deliverable acceptance, milestone payment, contract adherence, and escalations
- Budget Management and tracking
- Create, track, and deliver project timelines, tasks, and metrics
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Previous experience in a privacy office capacity (familiar with PII, global data regulations, domestic data regulations, APRA, GDPR, CCPA, IAPP)
- Ability to influence stakeholders and manage conflict
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively and ability to influence stakeholders to action the plan and encourage collaboration and adherence to project deliverables
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or other project management certifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Five (5) years as project lead with experience in driving privacy projects
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems or a related field.
- Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
- All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.
- Ability to be on-site as required by the project needs and project team activities?
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or other project management certifications.
- Masters degree in business/Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience in IT program or project management?
- Experience leading IT project management teams
- Experience with vendor management
- Experience with software implementation/upgrade
- Experience working with, or for, public sector organizations
- Experience with project and portfolio management tools
- Excellent customer service and business relationship communication skills
Some additional details of the position are as follows
- Interview process: 1 round remote, possibly 1 round onsite
- Role is non-supervisory
- Remote model; must be in the US and within commuting distance to the Phoenix area
- City-approved background check required
- Work is typically weekdays 8-5; could be nights/weekends (e.g., go-live)
