Job Description: The Investment Stewardship Group Dimensional’s global investment stewardship activities are managed by the Investment Stewardship group, which sits within Dimensional’s Portfolio Management department. The group implements proxy voting policies, engages with portfolio companies, researches governance issues and industry trends, and communicates Dimensional’s approach to investment stewardship to internal and external audiences. This team works closely with a number of stakeholders including portfolio managers, Legal, Compliance, Investment Analytics and Data, Investment Solutions, Marketing, and the Global Client Group, to ensure best practice is maintained and our clients’ objectives are met. The Opportunity The Manager, Investment Stewardship Operations will be responsible for enhancing the efficiency and reliability of stewardship procedures and operations, through automation and systemization, working closely with relevant internal areas including portfolio management, legal, research, IT, and operations as well as external vendors and service providers. The Manager, Investment Stewardship Operations will be based in Austin or Charlotte and will report to the Head of Investment Stewardship. Duties and Responsibilities Oversee proxy voting operations and account management, including assisting with account launches/closures, resolving account set-up issues, and ensuring ongoing proper account set-up at the firm, custodian banks, and third-party vendors. Support the legal and compliance departments in meeting regulatory requirements on proxy voting and reporting, including proxy advisor firm due diligence and mutual fund board reporting. Assist client service team as needed with proxy voting related client requests. Monitor proxy votes and work to enhance vote reconciliation and auditing processes to ensure votes are being cast in an accurate and timely manner. Assist in strategy and roadmap planning to address evolving needs of internal and external stakeholders. Develop and maintain detailed documentation of proxy voting processes. Oversee training and development initiatives for the team; coach and mentor staff to further develop skills. Work with portfolio management, technology, compliance, legal and risk to develop procedures that support new and/or enhanced products and services such as Dimensional’s new Separately Managed Account Platform and growing suite of ETF offerings. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree is required. 5 years investment industry experience Proven track record leading projects including systems integration, cost benefit analysis, business process engineering & issue tracking/resolution. Demonstrated ability to work across teams and departments. Ability to effectively communicate to senior leadership. Extensive analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written skills. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel knowledge. Experience with SQL, VBA, JIRA, Microsoft Power Automate, or Python is a plus.
