Job Summary:
DDC IT Services in Beavercreek, OH is currently seeking a Data Management Technical Lead candidate to join an established team of data management professionals. The Data Management Technical Lead is responsible for strategy, planning, execution, and sustainment of a wide range of Enterprise Data Management capabilities in support of our USAF customer. The Data Management Team Lead will be responsible for the daily direction of a growing team of data management, cybersecurity and ancillary services resources providing thought-leadership for current and emerging enterprise data management policy, processes, services, tools, and other capabilities. The Data Management Technical Lead is the primary point-of-contact for Government and contract resources for all program data management activities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and support execution of data management courses of action
- Participate in development, management and execution of data stewardship framework
- Develop data steward orientation materials and conduct workshops to introduce stewards to their responsibilities
- Support development of, provide insight to and describe implications of enterprise data strategies
- Aid in the development of standards and policies related to data management including but limited to data governance, metadata management and enterprise glossaries
- Support development and execution of data maturity assessments
Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):
Candidates will need to have:
- Minimum of a BS/BA degree from an accredited institution or equivalent educational qualification with 5 years of Data Management knowledge, skills and proven execution of Enterprise Data Management principles as specified in the DAMA Data Management Body of Knowledge (DM BoK) v2.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Strong communication skills with particular emphasis on writing and presenting
- Ability to communicate concepts to stakeholders of varying experience levels
- Experience with USAF organization and systems, particularly in logistics
- Ability to develop long-term plans to support enterprise and organizational goals
Even better if you have:
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)or(CDP) credential from DAMA or equivalent
- Demonstrated proficiency with USAF Logistics and Material Readiness source data or other Department of Defense source data experience
- Knowledge of DoD and USAF information technology, data management and/or cyber security regulations, policy, operating instructions, or guidance documentation
- Work history and proficiency with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles and best practices
- Experience using Atlassian tools especially Jira and Confluence
- Project or program execution experience within the DoD or another Government agency
