Summary
We are seeking a devoted Part-Time Music Teacher, preferably bi-lingual in English and Spanish, to inspire young minds through music at the Basilica School of St. Paul. The ideal candidate will teach elementary school music, lead student choirs during Wednesday and occasional Saturday masses, as well as assist the church music director in a positive and Catholic identity-filled environment for elementary students.
The Teacher is responsible to provide an appropriate educational atmosphere which encourages positive student learning and to participate in a dynamic setting with other classroom teachers, administrators, curriculum specialists and other staff members in the development and implementation of the school's programs and goals.

The ability to communicate, listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Strong command of both written and spoken English language.
WORKING CONDITIONSWork is performed mostly indoors in an environmentally controlled setting.Work is performed in a busy and occasionally noisy environment.Work is to be performed directly on school campuses.Works frequently in close physical proximity to others and may encounter work in enclosed or tight spaces.
Physical Requirements
The ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to reach, grasp, feel, and see up close and from afar. Must be able to use basic office computer hardware and peripherals, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form. - Previous experience in music education, including leading choir and religious music preferred.
