Direct Counsel has partnered with a Premier, national law firm who is seeking a Early Case Evaluation attorney. The Early Case Evaluation Attorney would utilize data-driven technology and a specialized workflow process to provide superior service clients. Early Case Evaluation attorneys are responsible for effectively conducting the initial factual investigation into new litigation matters by collecting and reviewing key documents, communicating with the case teams regarding the results of the same, and partnering with the case teams with respect to case strategy, including advancing their own recommendations and suggestions. This position is also responsible for the following:

Pay: $122,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Early Case Evaluation attorneys are responsible for effectively conducting the initial factual investigation into new litigation matters by collecting and reviewing key documents, communicating with the case teams regarding the results of the same, and partnering with the case teams with respect to case strategy, including advancing their own recommendations and suggestions. This position is also responsible for the following:
- Drafting answers and corporate disclosure statements
- Preparing Early Case Evaluations, which set forth an objective analysis of the claims and likely defenses and the strategic recommendations to the client
- Providing sufficient information and analysis of cases to allow remaining members of the case teams to transition efficiently into discovery and subsequent case phases
- Drafting settlement agreements, depending on when a case settles
Candidates for this position should have:
- The ability to discern practical and well-founded options for the effective defense of litigation matters and involving a wide variety of employment-related claims
- A minimum of eight years of employment litigation experience, including hands-on experience being responsible for cases through their entire life cycle
- The ability to provide appropriate valuations of employment law cases, as well as to focus in on the most relevant and important aspects of a case
- An active bar license in the state of residence
