ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment
· Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement.
· Provide structured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders.
· Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain Data Center cleanliness
· Follow all production, safety and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices.
· Collaborate with various Stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
· Reading and comprehending blueprints and building documentation/redline work.
· Broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies
· 4 years In-depth knowledge of Cat 5, Cat 6
· 3 years of in-depth knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment, such as VFL, power meter, Fluke Versive 5000 and OTDR
· 3 years’ experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
· 3 years’ experience troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
· Must have experience working in data centers, telco, IT operations, or related technical field.
· Any server, OS, Network, or data center certification (including in-progress) are a plus.
· Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Must be a professional, accurate, urgent and provide quality.
· Ability to work alone or in teams with minimal instruction.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $23.46 - $26.00 per hour
