Position Overview
The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all work orders/projects/jobs meet job specifications while adhering to company/client quality standards. This position supervises the training and overall quality initiatives for the company.
Duties / Responsibilities

Checks all materials to LIS sheets

Ensures that names and addresses shows through windows

Establishes quality of finished product

Interacts with Production Managers on issues related to quality

Oversee inspection throughout production cycle

Signs off on work order/green sheets

Develops and/or adapts quality and inspection equipment to meet quality control standards, makes suggestions with regards to procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality

Analyzes facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices. Coordinates monthly internal audits including gathering data, creating action plans, and generating solutions

Develops, with Production Manager, re-training for operator errors. Investigates and determines cause of faulty work and consults and advises production supervisors as to corrective/re-training measures.

Conducts random quality control checks, following company guidelines/standards

Provides employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems, or in resolving escalated quality issues and complaints

Ensures correct materials are being utilized specific to the job

Participates in cross-training with an open and positive attitude

Check letter folds and print quality to ensure postage and dates are accurate

Retrieves print jobs from DPA

Assists in setting up insert machines according to work order specifications

Ensures inventory is met to meet job specifications

Coordinates with Client Services and orders stock/supplies for jobs

Miscellaneous duties as assigned to help DMM attain its goals.
Education and Experience
-
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
-
Quality control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Proficient computer skills and aptitude.

Knowledge of postal rates and regulations is desirable.

Intermediate PC skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word preferred).
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand up to 10 hours each day.

Periodic physical activity requires walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and stooping.
Work Environment

Normal exposure to office, manufacturing, and warehouse environment.
