What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse - Mental Health position at Direct Personnel?
Our client is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their social services team. The right candidate would be responsible for training, managing, and overseeing the direct support personnel within the various mental health facilities. This position does include travel to the various facilities located in Skowhegan, Augusta, Bowdoinham, and Auburn.
The hours are Monday - Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. No weekends are required! The pay for this position is negotiable.

Responsibilities:
Administer medication to patients and monitor all medication inventory
Train all health professionals on proper care for each patient
Make sure that all DSP's are following the patient treatment plans
Report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
Maintain accurate patient medical records
Qualifications:
Previous Registered Nurse experience as well as State of Maine Nursing License
Valid Driver's License, safe driving record, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance that meets Maine's legal requirements.
Familiarity with medical software and equipment
