Summary:
Direct Relief works in the U.S. and internationally to equip doctors and nurses with life-saving medical resources to care for the world’s most vulnerable people. In addition to the lack of access to medications and supplies, the lack of reliable power and the inability to store medicines at the appropriate temperatures has direct health consequences on individuals and families, especially for people living in low-income and vulnerable communities who are struggling every day.
The Lead Analyst for the Power for Health initiative will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Power for Heath projects at Direct Relief. Power for Health is an initiative that focuses on assisting with designing, installing, and funding microgrid systems, including solar panels, battery storage, and backup power at healthcare facilities to ensure continuity of care.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify health centers that are specifically prone to power loss and serve vulnerable
populations. - Assist with analyzing project proposals and accessing potential grant recipients.
- Work with the grant recipients and the installation providers for efficient project rollout, oversight of timelines, performance, and financial targets.
- Assist with permitting and commissioning of systems, up until final completion and handover, as needed.
- Collect, manage, share, and collate all files needed for project rollout through to completion.
- Monitor project and program milestones and budgets and report any risks/issues in a timely manner.
- Research engineering and design firms that would make good project partners.
- Draft RFI/RFP templates project bid requests.
- Develop standardized checklists.
- Collaborate with various departments, including legal, finance, philanthropy, communications, programs, and research and analysis, to ensure the success of these programs.

- Familiarity with infrastructure projects, including solar implementations, is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Travel Requirements:
As needed, must be willing to travel to visit healthcare facilities to evaluate the feasibility of a facility to participate in a program and to oversee project status. Travel is estimated to be 10%, depending on the needs/cycle of each project.
