Large Non-Profit Social Service Behavioral Health Organization is seeking Chief Operating Officer with Behavioral Health and or Healthcare experience who is passionate about taking a lead in organizational development and who is excited to bring our agency to the next level.
Salary: $125,000-$150,000/year

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for all operations of all service programs of the agency. As such this position has responsibility for all administrative and related activities including management of the behavioral health services, community-based services, intensive in-home services, homeless services, medical services and the resources necessary to ensure that service programs are planned and managed to the highest standards of the industry.
The COO will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for all service lines and will manage members of the Division Director Leadership Team including the Psychiatric Services Department. As the Chief Operating Officer, the COO will provide leadership to the strategic planning process and will implement new programmatic strategic initiatives as well as oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization.
The COO reports to and is responsible to the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the agency. The COO participates in the Executive Leadership Team in developing and implementing a mission, vision, and strategic plan for the agency, setting annual objectives for service programs, and ensures implementations of action plans to achieve objectives. The COO will partner with their peer (C-level executives) and will be responsible for the developing, implementing, and managing, in conjunction with the CFO, the operational aspect of the annual budget. The Chief Operating Officer represents the agency to all constituencies as designated by the President & CEO. The COO will cultivate existing relationships with public and private funders.
This position is a key employment position pursuant to the Family and Medical Leave Act. Directions for Living is an essential services provider. All Directions for Living employees must be willing and able to provide vital support and essential services to the people that we serve in the event of an emergency, pandemic or other disaster situation. Essential employees may be required to work in the field, and be "on call" depending on the needs of the individual being served.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: Master level degree from an accredited program in business, psychology, administration, social work, psychology, nursing or a related field. At least ten (10) plus years relevant experience in senior administrative or clinical programming. Clinical and supervisory experience with progressive responsibilities for at least five (5) years. LCSW or LMHC preferred. Previous experience in Child Welfare a plus.
